Post-Graduation M.D (Siddha) Degree Course 2013-14
Applications are invited for admission to the post graduate M.D (Siddha ) degree course for 2013-14 at National Institute of Siddha at Tambaram Sanatorium for the following Branches:

Branch-II: Gunapadam: 08 (7+1 BIMSTEC)
Branch-III: Sirappu Maruthuvam: 08
Branch-IV: Kuzhandai Maruthuvam: 08
Branch-V: Noi Naadal: 07
Branch-VI: Nanju Noolum Maruthuva Neethi Noolum: 07
Allotment of Seats to branches: Total: 46 (45 + 1 BIMSTEC)

Qualification: A pass in B.I.M /B.S.M.S Degree Examination of any Indian University with successful completion of Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship (CRRI)
Candidates who have completed or will be completing CRRI before the date of entrance examination alone are eligible to apply for the Postgraduate-M.D. (Siddha)-Degree course; or
A pass in the examination considered equivalent to the afore-mentioned Siddha degrees by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai and the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, with successful completion of Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship (C.R.R.I) in the Hospital of Indian System of Medicine recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi
The candidates should have registered their names in either any State Council of Indian Medicine or Central Council of Indian Medicine
Admission Procedure
Admission to the course will be made on merit basis based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination
Total marks for entrance exam is 100
The Rule of Reservation for OBC /SC/ST candidates, as mentioned in the prospectus
This year one seat in Sirappu Maruthuvam Branch is reserved for persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs between 50% and 60%
One seat in Gunapadam Branch is reserved for a foreign (BIMSTEC Countries) student sponsored by the Govt of India
Application Forms: Application forms can be downloaded from the website http://www.nischennai.org
Demand Draft, from any of the Nationalized Banks, for Rs.1250/- (Rupees one thousand two hundred and fifty only) in favour of“Director, National Institute of Siddha” payable at Chennai, drawn on or after 13th August, 2013 should be enclosed
For SC/ST candidates the cost of application is Rs.900/- (Rupees Nine hundred only) subject to production of a duly attested Xerox copy of SC/ST certificate, issued by the competent authority
The filled in application along with enclosures should reach the Director, National Institute of Siddha, Tambaram Sanatorium, Chennai-600047, Tamil Nadu on or before 04th October, 2013 upto 5.00 p.m.
Applications received after the due date and time will be summarily rejected
The National Institute of Siddha will not be responsible for any postal delay
Related applications will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard
