Maharastra Superspeciality Entrance MH SSET 2014

Government of Maharashtra will be conducting the Superspeciality Entrance Examination - MH SSET 2014 for selection of candidates for admission to all DM and M.Ch Superspeciality Courses at the Medical Colleges / Institutions in the state of Maharashtra in the academic year 2014-15

Eligibility Criteria
1) The candidate must be an Indian National
2) The candidate must possess recognized postgraduate degree MD/MS or its equivalent from a medical college recognized by MCI. Candidates who have appeared MD/MS or equivalent exams are also eligible to submit application forms However, they will be considered for selection, on production of passing certificate of Postgraduation degree on the date of preference form filling and counseling process
3) A permanent MCI/Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC)/any other state council registration is a precondition for appearing for MH-SSET
4) The minimum percentage of marks secured by the candidates in the MH-SSET 2014 for the purpose of eligibility for admission to Superspeciality courses shall be 50% for all the candidates
5) A candidate who has already acquired a Superspeciality degree course in any one discipline and who has already completed the course is not eligible to apply for any other discipline
6) Candidate who is presently under going Superspeciality course in one discipline is not eligible to apply for any other discipline
The Prerequisite Qualifications for DM / MCh courses:
1) Cardiology: MD (Medicine) /MD (Pediatrics)/MD (Respiratory Medicine*)
2) Clinical Haematology: MD (Biochemistry) / MD (Medicine)/MD (Paediatrics) / MD (Pathology)
3) Clinical Pharmacology: MD (Pharmacology)
4) Endocrinology: MD (Medicine) /MD (Paediatrics)
5) Medical Gastroenterology: MD (Medicine)
6) Neonatology: MD (Paediatrics)
7) Nephrology: MD (Medicine) / MD (Paediatrics)
8) Neurology: MD (Medicine) / MD (Paediatrics)
9) Cardiac Anaesthesia: MD Anaesthesia
10) Paediatric Anaesthesia: MD Anaesthesia

M.Ch Course - Prerequisite Qualification(s)

1) Cardiovascular Thoracic: Surgery (CVTS) MS (Surgery)
2) Urology: MS (Surgery)
3) Neuro Surgery: MS (Surgery)
4) Paediatric Surgery: MS (Surgery)
5) Plastic Surgery: MS (Surgery)

Application FormThe Competent Authority shall issue Notification regarding online application form process. The information Brochure containing procedures for admission to Superspeciality courses will be made available on website of DMERwww.dmer.org. An applicant seeking admission to the MH-SSET 2014 will be required to submit single prescribed online application form

Cost of online application form of MH-SSET 2014 and exam fee is Rs 5000/- and Rs 60/- as Bank Charges. This amount is not refundable.

MH-SSET 2014 will be conducted at Mumbai Centre

The information Brochure and online application Form will be available from 23rd May 2014 to 30th May 2014

Before filling Online Application form candidates should download information brochure of MH-SSET 2014 and read the same carefully

The Applicants must possess the required criteria and educational qualification as mentioned in the Information Brochure of MH-SSET 2014

The details of online form submission process on DEMR website www.dmer.org are as mentioned below:
a) ‘Apply Online for MH-SSET 2014’ Link will be available on DMER website www.dmer.org
b) Application form link will be displayed. Click on Application form link
c) Instructions page will be displayed (Annexure "C"). Carefully read the Instructions for filling online form. After reading Instructions, applicant has to click NEXT button to go to actual Online Application form (Annexure “D”)
d) Candidate should fill all the entries in application form and upload his/ her Scanned photograph and signature
e) System will validate required fields before allowing him / her to submission
f) During submission the application system will ask to Candidate for Password
g) Eligible Candidate will be able to submit the form. There is provision to make changes in the Application Form before

Candidate should take printout of Bank Challan. With this Challan pay the required fee in any Branch of State Bank of India on Second Working Day onwards, from the day of Printing Challan and obtain your copy of Challan indicating Journal ID/Transaction ID

Log in Link will be available on DMER website www.dmer.org to verify the Application Form

Candidates should login with Application No (User Name) and his/her unique Password to download the printout of Application Form. Candidate has to preserve the download printout of Application Form for subsequent use

Please note that if you commit any mistake in filling the online Application Form, it cannot be corrected by this office. The office will take no responsibility of any kind of such forms

Candidate should preserve the (i) Bank Challan (ii) Copy of downloaded online form (iii) downloaded copy of Information Brochure for subsequent use

Candidate should bring all the original documents for verification at the time of submission of application form, as mentioned in information brochure of MH-SSET-2014 Application forms sent through courier/post will not be accepted
